Lex Schmidt, also known as OdoNata, is a Miami-based professional multi-instrumentalist and graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has over 15 years of experience as a drummer and percussionist, is self-taught on Kamale N’goni and Didgeridoo, is a passionate educator, a music producer, and the creative mind behind all things OdoNata. Pushing the boundaries of contemporary groove music through healing infusions, Lex has created a unique brand of groove music rooted in West African, Afro-Latin, and World Music rhythms and melodies combined with modern beats and sounds, to create a fusion of deep sonic rhythms, atmospheric soundscapes, and nostalgic melodies.
